Authorities have identified a man's body pulled Wednesday from the Rock River. The Rock Island County Coroner confirms it was 45 year old Robert B. Chaney of Colona, Illinois. Chaney disappeared while swimming in the river with his family near Barstow, Illinois last weekend.

Witnesses say Chaney jumped off a railroad bridge into the water Saturday. When he came back up, he appeared disoriented and slipped back under the surface.

His body was found by a boater Wednesday afternoon in the river along Route 84 and the Rock River Bridge, near Colona. Funeral Arrangements are pending.
