Officials with the Clinton County Sheriff's Office say they have caught the bank robbery suspect they were looking for.
A man walked into the Clinton National Bank in Andover, Iowa around 3:30 Wednesday afternoon and demanded money. No weapon was seen.
When the man left the bank, a manhunt began. Police searched from the ground and from the air. And after dark, a plane equipped with infrared joined the search. A K-9 police dog was also brought in.
Their efforts paid off. Officials say they found the man hiding in a cornfield and the money has been recovered.
The suspect is 25 year old Brett Thomas Ashley of Bettendorf.
