OTTAWA, Ill. (AP) - Three officials at the LaSalle County Nursing Home have been fired or have resigned.
The nursing home has faced two fines for violations stemming from the molestation of several female patients by a resident of the home.
The LaSalle County Board's nursing home committee confirmed the departure of the home's administrator, director of nursing and social services director. Officials would not say who was terminated and who has resigned. An interim administrator has been hired.
The nursing home was fined $20,000 by the state and faces a $20,000 fine from the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services plus $100 per day the home is found to be out of compliance.
An investigation determined the nursing home failed to protect residents.
