Authorities have released the names of those involved in a deadly train collision in Hillsdale, Illinois.
The crash happened around 10:00 Sunday night on 265th Street North, in Hillsdale. Officials say a Chevy Trailblazer hit the side of a moving Burlington Northern Santa Fe train at the rail crossing.
A passenger, 41 year old Gary Schwager of Kewnee died after being thrown from the vehicle. Three other people were critically hurt: The driver, 28 year old Derek Swanner of Hillsdale along with 32 year old Dawn Porter and 33 year old Sara Martensen, both from Rock Island.
The Rock Island County Sheriff's Office says they are still investigating what caused the crash, but it appears the train signals were working at the time.
