School is back in session at the high school in Fulton, Illinois. The school reopened Tuesday morning after being closed Friday because of asbestos concerns.
Administrators say a custodian pulled up a floor tile containing asbestos from the shop area. He was trying to fix an uneven floor, but did the repairs without authorization. Students were released early on Friday and the homecoming football game was cancelled out of health concerns.
The school district says air quality tests were conducted and came back negative.
