The head of a Des Moines-based temp agency, with an office in the Quad Cities, has been arrested on a wire fraud charge in connection with the embezzlement of funds.
Randy Stringer was arrested by the FBI in Miami. He is accused of illegally transmitting money to a woman in the Dominican Republic.
Investigators say the money was embezzled from a temporary employment agency known as DES Staffing Services. According to court records, the 46-year-old is suspected of using a variety of schemes since 2007 to steal more than $1 million from DES Staffing.
The company has an office in Moline.
