The program that offers tax rebates for anyone who purchases a new home in Davenport is seeing results.

The city says it has received 125 applications to the Davenport Now program since it began three months ago. If you build a new home or buy a newly constructed home, you can get a 50-percent rebate on your property taxes for 10 years.

So far, Davenport has distributed $190,000 in rebates with the average check worth over $5,000.
