LUANA, Iowa (AP) - Authorities are not releasing many details about a shooting involving a Clayton County sheriff's deputy and a suspect in a high-speed chase.
The sheriff's office says the deputy and a 35-year-old man were injured in the incident in Luana (loo-AY'-nuh) early Sunday.
Sheriff Mike Tschirgi (SURE'-gee) says the deputy and the man were involved in a physical altercation after the chase. Both were sent to the hospital.
Tschirgi declined to release further details or names of the deputy and man until the investigation is complete.
The sheriff's office on Wednesday also said no additional details had been released.
