An Illinois soldier killed in Afghanistan will soon be returning home to his family. 19-year-old Private First Class Devin Michel was killed by a roadside bomb on Saturday.

Michel is from Stockton, Illinois which is located in Jo Daviess County. He graduated from Stockton High School and is the second soldier from the town of 2,000 to die in the war on terror.

A memorial for PFC Michel will be held November 6th at Stockton High School at 4:00 p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, November 7th at 11:00 a.m.
