MACOMB, Ill. (AP) - A Western Illinois University horticulture professor has developed a sustainable landscaping Web site to help teach a class on the same topic.
Marietta Loehrlein says the site started with the idea of reducing the amount of mowing she was doing every week.
At least, that's according to the first blog post on "Sustainable Landscaping." The site includes ideas like alternative energy and landscape equipment and recycled landscape materials.
Loehrlein says there's no textbook on the topic.
