The cold is blowing in and soon, the local ski resort hopes to be blowing snow. Snow Star in Andalusia, Illinois hopes to start making snow as early as Wednesday night.
A spokesman at the Ski resort says they need the temperature to be around 25 degrees or colder, but the humidity is also a factor. If the air is moist, they need colder temperatures for the snow to crystallize. If the air is dry, they can make snow at warmer temperatures.
They hope conditions will allow them to make enough snow to open for the season on December 12th.
