CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (AP) - Tickets to see the Dalai Lama at the University of Northern Iowa will go on sale Friday.
The 74-year-old Tibetan spiritual leader and Nobel Peace Prize laureate will visit the university in Cedar Falls on May 18. It's his first trip to Iowa.
He will participate in a morning panel discussion about violence-prevention education, then give a speech that afternoon. Tickets to the panel discussion cost $15, and the cost of attending the speech range from $50 to $15. There is also a $2 handling charge.
There are a limited number of free tickets for UNI students.
