CHICAGO (AP) - Ceremonies and throwback uniforms will be the order of the day as the Chicago Cubs host the Arizona Diamondbacks Wednesday afternoon at Wrigley Field. It's been exactly 100 years since the North Side ballpark opened with a Federal League game. In honor of that, the Cubs will wear Chicago Federals uniforms and Arizona will don the uniforms of the Feds' opponents, the Kansas City Packers.

NEW YORK (AP) - Adam Wainwright of the St. Louis Cardinals says he'll be fine with a couple of days of rest. Wainwright took an awkward tumble and left Tuesday night's game with a hyperextended right knee after pitching seven shutout innings against the New York Mets. He's now 4-1 this season.

DETROIT (AP) - The Chicago White Sox play game three of a four-game series in Detroit Wednesday night. Andre Rienzo (ree-EN'-zoh) of the Sox will make his first start of the season. Drew Smyly (SMY'-lee) will pitch for the Tigers.

CHICAGO (AP) - Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews (tayvz) will probably team up again on the same line Wednesday night when the Chicago Blackhawks try to even their NHL playoff series with the St. Louis Blues. Usually the two are separated to give Chicago more offensive balance but coach Joel Quenneville (KWEHN'-vihl) put them together in last season's playoff run to jumpstart the Blackhawks' attack. The Blues lead the series two games to one.
