CHICAGO (AP) - The Chicago Cubs and San Francisco Giants are scheduled to play a game-and-a-half Thursday at Wrigley Field. First, they'll finish the rain-interrupted game the Cubs thought they'd won Tuesday before the Giants won a protest filed with Major League Baseball. Then the two teams will play their regularly scheduled game.

ST. LOUIS (AP) - This is an off-day for the St. Louis Cardinals. They begin a series in Philadelphia Friday night, with Adam Wainwright getting the start and the Phillies. He'll be looking for his 16th victory of the season.

CHICAGO (AP) - There is speculation that the Chicago White Sox might call up their top pitching prospect Carlos Rodon (roh-DAHN') before the end of the season. But general manager Rick Hahn says "there is nothing set in stone." The left-handed pitcher who was taken third in the June draft has been elevated to Triple-A and made his first start this week. The Sox open a series Friday against the New York Yankees.

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (AP) - Chicago's Jackie Robinson West Little Leaguers face another inner-city team Thursday night at the World Series in Pennsylvania. Philadelphia sensation Mo'ne (moh-NAY') Davis won't be able to pitch because she pitched in Wednesday night's loss to a team from Las Vegas. The winner of Thursday night's game goes to the U.S. title game on Saturday.
