A mother of three was arrested for child endangerment, after a weekend fire in Burlington, Iowa.

Fire and Police Departments were called to the 200 block of Shields Street on Saturday, April 13, 2013, around 4:22 p.m.

When authorities arrived, they located three small children, ages three, four and 10, without adult supervision.

After an investigation, officials say the children had been left unattended for around three hours.

The fire at the residence appeared to have been started in a bedroom and the items that were on fire had been thrown out of a window.

No injuries were reported and the fire remains under investigation.

The mother of the children, 31-year-old Felicia Lynell Bryant, was later arrested and charged with child endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor.
