    Iowa and Illinois residents using food stamp benefits at some convenience stores and gas stations might have to find another place to shop. Merchants will now have to pay the transaction fees to process the benefits and those fees were once covered by the federal government. In iowa, stores that average a minimum of $100 a month in snap transactions get help from the federal government to pay for those transaction fees, but under the new federal farm bill that assistance won't be available.
