The beautifully restored 2,400 seat Adler Theatre continues to host celebrity headliners, Broadway greats, comedians, dance and symphony performances where the proud tradition of quality, live entertainment lives on.

  • The Backwater Gamblers are a non-profit water ski show team that performs free water ski shows every Wednesday and Sunday at 6:30 pm on the Rock River in Rock Island, Illinois.

The shows begin Memorial Day weekend and continue through the summer until Labor Day weekend. The shows last approximately one hour with a 15-20 minute intermission in which donations are accepted.

This online site serves as an information gateway to literary events and writing resources throughout eastern Iowa and western Illinois, with services for emerging and established writers.

  • When you think of the Mississippi Valley Blues Society, our annual Mississippi Valley Blues Festival may come to mind - a three-day festival held in July on the banks of the Mississippi River that some critics say is one of the finest blues fests in the country. While we're very proud of our festival and the fact that we've been able to present it for over twenty-five years with an all-volunteer organization, it is certainly not all that we do.

  • The zoo grounds cover forty acres, and an additional 200 acres is set aside for native flora and fauna preservation. Niabi is home to over 900 animals representing more than 160 species. Approximately 250,000 visitors a year make Niabi Zoo one of the largest attractions in the Quad Cities. The zoo grounds also offers a playground, a train ride, picnic areas and concession stands.

  • Quad City Arts Council was founded in 1970 in Illinois as an arts advocacy organization that operated a visual arts gallery and re-granting program featuring local performing artists. Visiting Artists, Inc., born from the Council's residency program, was chartered in Iowa in 1974 and presented multi-disciplinary performing arts residencies in schools, factories, and community centers.

  • More than a premier holiday event, Festival of Trees is the annual fundraiser for Quad City Arts, a local not-for-profit arts agency.  More than 100,000 people experience Festival annually, making it one of the largest attractions in the Quad Cities. This fundraiser makes it possible for Quad City Arts to provide quality arts programming and support year round for the residents of six counties in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois.

  • The River Bend Senior Center & Transit Facility is here to provide assistance to the community of Whiteside County, Illinois and the surrounding areas. The services we provide are critical in meeting the specialized needs of so many Whiteside County senior citizens. River Bend Senior Center does not deny services to anyone due to their inability to donate. Because so many individuals in Whiteside County depend on our services, we depend significantly on donations.

  • The St. Patrick Society of the Quad Cities was founded in 1985 through the vision of a few Irish dreamers, namely Jeffrey Charles Collins, Francis Joseph Coyle Jr., Jerald Matt McCabe,  Thomas  Joseph McGinn, Daniel Patrick Reardon and Dennis Michael Walsh, with a desire to preserve, express, and promote their Irish heritage.
