ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (KWQC) - An arrest has been made in connection with damage discovered early Monday morning at the Rock Island County Courthouse.
Officers began investigating a report of a damage to the building around 7 a.m. on March 20, 2017. Once inside, officers noticed more damage in the Courthouse Security Office on the first floor.
That's when they found a 19-year-old inside the office. The sheriff's office identified the suspect as Flavio Barona, Jr. of Moline.
It's believed he broke a window on the east side of the courthouse, entered the building and caused even more damage to the security office.
He's being held in the Rock island County Jail on a charged of damage to state supported property. Officers are still investigating
