Elevated risk of wildfires Monday

QUAD CITIES, IA & Ill. (KWQC) Warm, dry and breezy weather on Monday afternoon will create an elevated risk of wildfires.

According to the National Weather Service, the risk for wildfires starts in local agricultural fields that are cured or mostly cured.

Outdoor burning should be avoided Monday, as strong south winds could aid in the quick spreading of embers or flames.
