(NBC) Equifax is investigating a possible cyber breach, just one month after a hack that exposed the personal information of more than 145 million people.
The company has taken one of its customer help pages offline while it investigates.
Equifax previously said it first detected a hack in July.
The company says it was warned to prepare for additional cyber attacks.
More recently, visitors to the company's website were directed to download a fraudulent software update.
Equifax disabled the page and is investigating.
