DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - A new festival is coming to the riverfront in Davenport this summer.

Whitney Entertainment announced Friday that they will have the first annual Muddy Fest Motorcycles and Music along the riverfront in Davenport.

It will be a two day event with motorcycle activities, regional cuisine, and entertainment at Centennial Park.

Film producer Steve Whitney was born in Iowa and is a recent double organ transplant recipient. He has partnered with the Iowa Donor Network to promote organ donor awareness and registration at this year's event.

"Once I got healthy, I really wanted to give back because you truly can save peoples lives," said Whitney. "So I partnered with Iowa Donor Network which is just wonderful. Like I said I was born in Iowa I am glad I get to come back and work in concerts with them. They are going to be on site giving awareness and we are going to have registration and raffle off memorabilia and hopefully make people aware of the need to be an organ donor."

The event will also feature bands from across the country, and question and answer sessions with actor Billy Baldwin and Iowa wrestling legend Dan Gable. Camping will also be available at Credit Island.

Organizers hope to make it an annual event.
