UPDATE: Missing driver found after crash with semi in Davenport

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) — UPDATE: The Scott County Sheriff's Office says a driver has been charged after an accident on W. River Dr. and Interstate 280 in Davenport Friday morning.

Authorities say the crash involved a Chevrolet S-10 pick-up that was traveling east on W. River Drive and a semi-truck that was turning onto W. River Drive from the off-ramp of Interstate 280.

The pick-up failed to stop at the red light and struck the side of the semi trailer.

According to a news release, the driver of pick-up fled the scene in another vehicle before officers arrived at the scene.

The driver was later found by Davenport police and identified as 42-year-old Mark Davis, of Davenport. Davis is charged with leaving the scene of an injury crash, 2 counts of driving while suspended, red light violation, and no insurance. Davis was not injured in the crash.

The passenger of the pick-up was taken to the hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries. The driver of the semi was not hurt.

West bound River Drive was closed for approximately 30 minutes while the crash was being investigated
