DES MOINES, Iowa( WHO/CNN) – A Des Moines woman is charged with several counts of child endangerment after police say they found her children left alone in filthy conditions.
Police responded to the home of Destinee Miller on Monday morning after neighbors called the police.
The neighbors reported seeing Miller’s children, ages 4, 2 and 1, playing in a parking lot with no adult supervision. A witness tells police the children were left alone for more than an hour.
The three young kids have been removed from the home. Police describe the child endangerment case a 'heartbreaking mess'.
