SUTHERLAND, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- A northwest Iowa women is now reported to be among those killed in the Las Vegas shooting massacre, according to KCAU-TV in Sioux City.
The community organization Las Vegas United – which has been tracking fatalities from the deadliest mass shooting in American history – on Tuesday night listed Carly Kreibaum of Sutherland among the victims who perished.
Social media posts by Kreibaum’s friends and family also announced her passing.
Word of her apparent death came as authorities in Las Vegas indicated they had identified all but three of the dead.
Two of Kreibaum’s friends with her in Las Vegas said she was shot during Sunday night’s sniper attack and they became separated from her and were unsure of her fate.
A church vigil was held for Kreibaum in Sutherland on Monday night as the community of roughly 600 people prayed for her to be located.
Kreibaum’s husband also flew to Las Vegas Tuesday before his wife – and mother of two children - was identified as a casualty.
Numerous condolence messages were posted to his social media accounts on Tuesday night.
The Sutherland Church of Christ held a prayer service for Carley Kreibaum.
The church in Iowa made a post on their Facebook page on October 2 saying they were holding a prayer service for Kreibaum, explaining that the people she was with in Las Vegas have not been able to find her. They also said she was shot.
