ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (KWQC) — There’s a business in Rock Island filled with tricks or treats. Ghosts and goblins. However, that’s only part of the attraction.
Igor’s Bistro is a place where the owner is always hyped about Halloween. Rich Lopez and his wife own the restaurant and revel in all the spooky attractions.
When customers enter the restaurant, they are greeted by Rocky the gargoyle. Skeletons light up. Rich’s wife Kathy dresses in a witch costume and offers greetings to the lunch time crowd.
The items on the menu include the goblin and bat wing sandwich. How about some Transylvania pie. Lopez says he loves to cook. Family members also help run the restaurant.
Lopez received a low interest, economic development loan from the city. That money helped to get his business up and running. The couple says without that money they would not have been able to go into business.
The couple also did renovation work and made other improvements to the building. A restaurant where it’s Halloween from one end of the building to the other. Trick or Treat from Igor’s.!
