New regional ride share portal available

The Bi-State Regional Commission and QC public transit agencies partnered with the Iowa Department of Transportation to launch a new rideshare portal called “QC Rideshare”.
There is already a state website but this portal focuses on the QC metro region.
QC rideshare is specific to the Quad Cities Metro Area to help connect commuters with eco-friendly transportation options such as carpooling, walking, biking as well as public transit.
According to the B-State Regional Commission, the goal is to promote eco-friendly public transit efforts, decrease traffic congestion and also lower greenhouse gas emissions.
