One person dead following rollover accident in Whiteside County

WHITESIDE COUNTY, Ill. (KWQC) - One person is dead and another injured following a rollover accident near Albany, Illinois on Saturday.

At approximately 3:54 pm on April 22, Whiteside County Deputies were dispatched to the scene at Meredosia Road near Bunker Hill Road.

Police determined that the pickup truck failed to negotiate the curve, traveled through a ditch, and rolled multiple times before coming to rest on its tires.

The driver, 41-year-old Kit RB Wilson of Albany was ejected. He was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Clinton, Iowa where he was later pronounced dead. The passenger, 21-year-old Jordan A. Tornow of Tampico, was treated for minor injuries at the scene and released.

This crash remains under investigation by Whiteside County and the Illinois State Police Accident Reconstruction.

Albany EMS, Albany Fire, Erie Police Department, Fulton Police Department, Illinois State Police, and Rick's Towing all assisted on scene.
