OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (KWQC) – Investigators say many, many mistakes were made by a young man heading to Florida for spring break.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office last week arrested a 19-year-old who was driving to the resort town of Destin, Florida.

Deputies say they found seven cases of beer, marijuana in the center console, and a fake ID making his age 24.

Given those circumstances, “You probably don't want to be speeding and driving recklessly on Interstate 10,” the sheriff’s department posted to Facebook on March 17, 2017.

The post has been shared more than 60,000 times and drawn more than 9,000 comments.

Noting the brand of beer involved, Josh Cloern commented, “All the dumb decisions and it started off with buying natural light.”

All joking aside, the incident has serious consequences for the young man.

The sheriff’s post ends with the words, “Going to jail.”
