QUAD CITIES, IA & Ill. (KWQC) Strong to severe storms are possible on Saturday as an area of low pressure moves in to the region.
A few non severe showers and storms are possible early Saturday morning before things pick up again in the late afternoon and evening. Storms will start to fire up sometime after 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. Saturday and will continue through about midnight. Any kind of strong to severe storms will likely occur before 9 p.m. before slowly tapering off.
The main concern with any strong to severe storms tomorrow will be for strong winds, some hail and possibly a brief tornado or two. If a tornado were to occur, it would likely be along and south of I-80. Heavy rain is also a concern due to ample moisture. 1 to 3" of locally heavy rain is expected by midnight on Sunday.
Following this front will be clearing skies and breezy weather for Sunday. Highs will struggle to make it to 60 degrees as we wrap up the weekend. Stay with KWQC for the latest!
