ROCK ISLAND, IL (KWQC) – Tennis player and Quad Cities native, Madison Keys is planning a three day summit in her home town.

Keys established FearlesslyGIRL USA, a non-profit US arm of FearlesslyGIRL, the internationally recognized leadership organization for young women. On November 16-18, 2017, the 2017 US Open finalist will be hosting a three-day fundraising summit for FearlesslyGIRL USA in the Quad Cities.

Last year, Keys became the ambassador for FearlesslyGIRL, an organization dedicated to empowering a generation of young women, as well as their schools and communities through school summits. FearlesslyGIRL USA will help American schools that are not in the position to afford hosting a FearlesslyGIRL summit to apply for a grant.

"As we celebrate the National Bullying Prevention month, I am really excited to be in a position to bring attention to the causes that are important to me, such as being a leader for young women and female empowerment," said Madison Keys.

"While we still have a lot of work to do with making FearlesslyGIRL global, establishing the non-profit arm of the organization in the United States will help all schools, regardless of economics, host these special events for their students so they feel like they are a part of the greater girl power movement."

During the three-day summit, Madison Keys and FearlesslyGIRL founder Kate Whitfield will host the largest-ever anti-bullying school assembly, which will be live streamed worldwide from the Augustana College in Rock Island on Friday, November 17 from 11:00-12:30pm CT.

The assembly will feature special athletes and celebrity guests and will discuss bullying's impact on them, as well as ways to overcome it. Every elementary, middle or high school worldwide that wants to watch and participate in the assembly should register at www.fearlesslygirl.com in order to receive login info..
