While pregnant women and children have been standing in long lines to get their H1N1 flu shots, NBC reports that firms on Wall Street got just as many doses for their employees as some New York Hospitals.
Now, a hockey team in Calgary, Canada is taking some heat. People have been buzzing over the N-H-L hockey team, the Calgary Flames, being vaulted to the front of the H1N1 vaccination lines.
Flames players, their families, training staff and coaches got vaccinated for the H1N1 flu at a clinic last Friday. The team president says they made the decision based on information they believe was approved by Alberta Health Services. Health officials say that wasn't the case.
Now, the most senior staff member involved has been fired and Alberta's Health Minister says they will look into any other cue-jumping incidents.
The Flames formerly had a minor league franchise in the Quad Cities.
