OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Mutual of Omaha has settled its lawsuit against Oprah Winfrey's company over the use of the phrase "aha moment."
Mutual spokesman Jim Nolan says he could not discuss details of the deal other than to say the case was resolved amicably.
Representatives of Winfrey's Chicago-based Harpo Productions Inc. did not immediately respond to a message left Monday.
Mutual and Harpo started sparring earlier this year after Mutual starting using the slogan "official sponsor of the aha moment" in a national advertising campaign.
Winfrey's representatives argued in April the phrase was synonymous with Winfrey and her show.
Harpo asked Mutual in a letter to stop using "aha moment" to promote its insurance and financial products because it didn't want any confusion about whether there was a relationship between Mutual and Winfrey.
Mutual responded with the lawsuit and documents showing it had obtained preliminary approval of a federal trademark.
