The Thomson prison might not house inmates from Guantanamo, Cuba after all.
Illinois Governor Pat Quinn says the state is moving forward with a plan to sell the prison to the federal government, but he says it's "less likely" it will hold Guantanamo Bay detainees.
His comments come after the House Armed Services Committee unanimously approved a bill that prohibits using money to build or modify facilities in the U.S. for Gitmo detainees.
Quinn says the action doesn't throw a wrench into any deal. The Thomson prison could still be used as a federal prison to house other inmates.
