Presidential candidate John McCain will make a stop in the Quad Cities this weekend.
The Midwest John McCain Campaign headquarters announced the Republican hopeful will hold a campaign rally Saturday in Davenport. It will be at the River Center on 3rd Street. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. and a preprogram will begin at 10:30 a.m.
You will need a ticket to get inside. Tickets will be available Thursday at 9 a.m. at the Scott County Republican Office at 1880 East 54th Street in Davenport.
This is McCain's third trip to the state since mid-September. The latest gallup poll released October 8th puts McCain behind Democratic candidate, Barack Obama with Obama getting 52% of the support and McCain gets 41%. While he might be down in the polls, there are still many undecided voters out there.
Those that we talked to say they are waiting until the last hours in the campaign to make their final choice.
"I'm still on the fence," one person told TV-6.
"I'm still not decided on what I'm going to do," said another.
Some voters we talked to hope a McCain visit will make the choice easier, "Hopefully he'll come up with something new to help us make a decision."
Others plan to wait it out a little longer,"I want to see how he does the last few weeks. I want to see him come up, make me believe what he's saying."
But no matter the choice, voters think its important that the candidates keep campaigning.
"it's always great to see any political figure come to town".
