Ben Rosehart - KWQC-TV6 News and Weather For The Quad Cities -

Sports Anchor/Reporter

Ben Rosehart

Ben Rosehart joined KWQC as a sports anchor/reporter in July of 2011. From the Hawkeyes and Fighting Illini to high school hoops and everything in between, Ben is honored to cover your local teams and schools. He also enjoys continuing the great tradition of the "Highlight Zone" with all the good people that make it possible.

Prior to moving to the Quad-Cities, he spent five years covering sports and news at KGWN-TV in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Among his highlights in the Cowboy state, Ben covered Wyoming's double overtime win in the 2009 New Mexico Bowl, Cheyenne East alum James Johnson getting drafted by the Chicago Bulls, and bull riders hanging on for dear life at the annual Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo.

A proud graduate of La Salle University, Ben loves to wear his "Explorers" t-shirts around the QC and support the Phillies, 76ers & Flyers from afar.  He proudly taught his Dad - aka "Papa Rosehart" - how to text during the Phillies' run to the 2008 World Series. He also gained valuable experience as a production assistant for NBC at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy, and interned with the NFL Network, Philadelphia Eagles, and Fox 29 in Philly.

Not many sportscasters can play the violin, but Ben first started when he was six, and still enjoys playing at Mass and the occasional wedding. He also tries to improve his patented "Hail Mary Hook Shot" in local pickup basketball games.
