Amber O'Brien - KWQC-TV6 News and Weather For The Quad Cities -

Amber O'Brien joined the KWQC TV-6 News team in July, 2011 as a reporter and weekend producer.

She grew up in the Chicago suburb of Naperville, so she's used to braving the cold winters.

Amber knew from an early age that she wanted to work in news, and has been passionate about pursuing it ever since.  

Amber graduated from Illinois State University and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Broadcast Journalism. During her time at ISU, Amber worked at the university station as a reporter, anchor, photographer and producer. Also during that time, she earned internships at NCTV News 17 in Naperville and WMBD FOX 31 in Peoria, where she worked as a student reporter.

Outside of work, you may find Amber out enjoying different shops and restaurants, spending time with family and friends, or doing her favorite activity, yoga!
