It's been a weird season in the Midwest League. First, the Clinton Lumberkings come from behind to win in Burlington after trailing 17-1... then the Bandits have a guy who hits his 1st career Home Run with the team - and his father CATCHES it in the outfield... and then Wednesday an actual opossum runs onto the field and delays the game. See how the River Bandits were "playing possum" - literally - in the first few innings of their game against Clinton before the L-Kings finally won 6-5.  VIDEO: 

It's not every day that a NBA assistant Coach stops in the Quad Cities.  But Jamie Young of the Boston Celtics is in town all week and his local ties. Entering his 4th year as a Celtics assistant, Young's wife is from Aledo and he and his brother Jason are hosting a basketball camp this week in Rock Island at Augustana College. The 1st annual Young Hope Basketball Academy helps teach kids how to develop their hoop skills, but also raises money for families who have children with life-threatening heart conditions.  The camp is tied to the Erika Kate Hope Alliance, a foundation based in Muscatine named in the memory of a 4-year old Erika Kate Maynard who died shortly after a heart transplant in 2006.  We spoke with Coach Young about this new venture:
