While one man was taken to the hospital, another was taken to jail after a stabbing in Davenport over the weekend.

Police were called to a home on Wilkes Avenue around 11:00 Saturday night. According to the police report, 37-year-old Everett Ewoldt got into an argument with another man near the garage of Ewoldt's home. Police say Ewoldt then went inside his house and came out with a hunting knife and stabbed the victim in the back. Police say the stab wound is 9 to 10 inches deep, but the victim, 22-year-old John Minch survived.

Ewoldt is charged with assault with serious injury and going armed with intent.
