Coyotes like the one pictured to the left are turning up in Silvis, Illinois near Illini Hospital.

Spotting one now and then in this area is nothing new, but now they are said to be showing up in the same place at the same time each day.  Some say they don't feel safe with these wily animals apparently having made themselves at home, and getting rid of them may not be so easy.

"They're not really an animal that relocates," says Bill Christmen of Christmen Wildlife Services.  "These animals have large ranges, and they would come back to the same area."

For now, wildlife officials say to not approach coyotes but call police or animal control if one approaches you or your property.
