A group of 20 workers in the shipping department at the Quaker Oats plant in Cedar Rapids, Iowa are now rolling in dough.
The 18 men and two women will share the $241 million Iowa Powerball prize from the June 13 drawing. They plan to take the lump-sum payment of $160.3 million, which after taxes, works out to $5.6 million each.
During a news conference at lottery headquarters in Des Moines Thursday, the workers gathered around a desk, all wearing matching blue T-shirts and called themselves the "shipping 20". They joked about how long they would keep working at the plant. It probably comes as no surprise that 11 of them said they plan to retire.
The winning ticket was purchased from a Hy Vee grocery store in Cedar Rapids, which already received a $10,000 check for its cut of the prize. It's the largest jackpot prize in Iowa Powerball history.
