Gunfire ringing out in one QCA neighborhood, not once, but twice in one week. It's happening at an apartment complex in Clinton.
Captain Tom Bohle with Clinton Police says it's becoming a serious problem --
"We're getting more calls to that facility," Bohle said. "I know we've probably had over 40 calls this month alone to the facility."
Nathan Snyder has lived at "Miller Ridge Apartments" for two years, and he's had enough of the crime there.
"I just always carry a knife on me for protection," Snyder said.
Snyder told TV-6 that he'd leave the apartments if he could --
"I don't really have anywhere else to go ... I try not to think about it too much."
Nathan isn't the only one who's fed up with the crime at Miller Ridge. Clinton Police on are scene there all too often.
Captain Bohle is investigating the most recent incident of shots fired at Miller Ridge, and he says the department is doing all it can to put an end to the violence.
"We've increased our patrols in the area. Officers are going out on foot, checking the area much more frequently than they have in the past."
Bohle says the residents who live at Miller Ridge apartments are the key to solving the crimes there.
"They're the eyes and ears of the Clinton Police Department."
But talking to police is not something many people who live there are ready and willing to do.
"Many people are afraid of retribution, of what might happen to them," Bohle said.
"I stay out of people's business," Snyder agreed. "I don't want to be the next victim."
