If you are anxiously waiting for the roadwork to end on Davenport's E. River Drive, we have disappointing news. The city says completion of the project has been delayed.

E. River Drive has been closed to traffic, between Iowa and Oneida streets, since the end of May. That phase of the project was supposed to be finished by the end of July. Now, the city says there is additional work needed to be conducted by Iowa-American Water Company on the water lines and now that portion of the street is not expected to reopen until the end of August.
