Two people are dead, one of them a child, after a car collided with a semi trailer in Henry County, Iowa.
The accident happened Sunday afternoon, just before 12:30, on Highway 34 just east of Mount Pleasant.
Officers say the driver of a truck pulling the trailer had stopped and parked in the right lane to look at a vehicle for sale which was parked on the side of the road.
Authorities say the car hit the back of the stopped truck and trailer. The driver and the two-year-old inside were transported to a local hospital but did not survive. Their names were being withheld at the time of the report pending family notification.
