A route to the emergency room at Genesis East Hospital in Davenport is blocked because of a water main break. The water line broke open at Bridge Ave. and Grand Court.

Officials at Genesis Hospital say the emergency room is open, but traffic will need to drive around the work area.

According to Iowa American Water Company, the hospital still has water service; however, water pressure had to be reduced in order to make repairs. Customers possibly impacted by lower water pressure include Grand Ct. from Bridge to Grand Ave.; East Rusholme from Bridge to Grand Ct.; Cary from Grand to Rusholme; Bridge Ave. from High to Rusholme streets.

No boil order is necessary and repairs should be complete by Monday evening.
