As you head out to your commute be on the look out for new road construction. Starting Monday morning, traffic will be down to one lane in each direction on the John Deere Road overpass in Moline over Interstate 74.

During the first half of the project the I-74 exit for travelers heading northbound (from the airport area) and exiting to westbound John Deere Road (toward Southpark Mall) will be closed.

When work there is complete, that ramp will re-open.

Next, the southbound exit on I-74 (from Avenue of the Cities and the downtown area) exiting to eastbound John Deere Road (toward Walmart) will close for the second phase of the project.

The work is expected to be finished by mid-September.
