Cedar and Des Moines Counties have become the latest in Iowa to declare a burn ban. These new bans join bans already in place for Scott, Jackson and Dubuque Counties in the KWQC viewing area. In all, over a third of Iowa counties have had burn bans declared by the state fire marshal.

While open burning is banned in the affected counties, the use of outdoor fireplaces and barbecue grills is still allowed. For more information on burn bans and the counties affected, use the links below.
