Two people were arrested after shots were fired inside a Sterling, IL home over the weekend.

Police responded to the 10 block of east 7th Street early Saturday morning. According to reports, responding officers heard yelling and learned someone in another building had a gun.

Police responded to that scene and found a stolen semi-automatic pistol. They also recovered a bullet from the first location.

20-year old Shawn Perales faces a handful of charges including possession of a stolen firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition. Police say more charges could be coming.
