A swift storm blew through the Quad Cities Thursday afternoon prompting a sailboat to flip and a water taxi to come to the rescue.

Around 3:30 a brief storm packing heavy wind and rain passed over the area. Two men were on a sailboat on the Mississippi River when it flipped over. The men could be seen clinging to the boat when the pilot of the Channel Cat water taxi drove over and the men came aboard. They were taken to the water taxi dock at Lindsay Park in Davenport. Although shaken-up a bit, the men are said to be in good condition.

There were passengers on the Channel Cat at the time, who tell KWQC-TV they were frightened by the storm and then by the rescue. Hear more what they had to say on the news at KWQC-TV.
