On February 5th, 2011, the Davenport Fire Department responded to a building fire at Harrison Manor, a Davenport condominium complex. There were people were inside the complex at the time but it was evacuated and there were no injuries.

After an extensive investigation by the Davenport Fire Department, 27-year-old Michael Mitrisin of East Moline, Ill. was arrested.

During the investigation, the Davenport Fire Department revealed Mitrisin entered his ex-girlfriend's home at Harrison Manor and set fire to her belongings. In addition to property damage, the lives of other occupants and firefighters were put at risk.

On Tuesday, after a trial lasting over a week, a jury convicted Mr. Mitrisin of Arson 1st Degree and Burglary 2nd Degree. Sentencing is scheduled for September 6, 2012 at 1:30 p.m.
