It's the first significant storm we've had since May.

Winds in some areas reaching up to 70 miles per hour as they tore through. Leaving a lot of damage in their wake.

Fulton, like many cities, was hit hard.

Big trees are down in parts of town.

And most blocks have tree limbs already at the curb.

But the storm has left at least one family without a home Saturday evening.

And they're not sure what will happen next.

Tim Nicholson Jr. says, "The ceiling started coming in, the panels, all that stuff started falling all over the floor."

He lives in a mobile home with his parents in Fulton. They've been here for three years. But in about three minutes, that all changed.

"It sounded like a loud crack and then the trailer, shifted, and I ran back and told my dad he needs to get up and get out of the trailer."

A tree now rests on the roof of the Nicholson's home. Heavy, it broke the roof and buckled the floor. It also blocked the front door. Nicholson had to move the stairs around back so his parents could get out.

"Everything in the living room is ruined from the rain, looked out there, and looks like somebody just opened up a faucet, there's water everywhere in the living room," says father Timothy Nicholson Sr.

He says it's a devastating loss. A disabled veteran, he lives on 11-hundred dollars a month. And his trailer wasn't insured.

"It's just shambles, everything has fallen down, there's water damage everywhere, the TV's are ruined the computers are ruined, we got a cat missing."

He's glad no one was hurt during the storm. And the clean up effort began as soon as the storm passed. Raul Ruiz came from across the river in Clinton, Iowa to help out. He says it's important.

"I believe it'll save him money regardless, but I believe in his heart, he'll feel appreciation for those who are willing to work out and help out," says Ruiz.

But even with the help, Nicholson Sr. says he's not sure what will happen next.

"We were starting to get it fixed up the way we liked it and then all of the sudden, to have your whole effort just end, now we have no place to go."
