Update: Repairs were successfully made overnight and signal transmission is near 50% power Thursday morning.

Due to technical issues, KWQC is broadcasting at extremely low power (3%) while we await the arrival of a tower crew to replace a bad connector on our transmission line.

We currently expect the repair to take place Wednesday night at 11:30. At that time our engineers will shut down the transmitter so the transmission line can be repaired by the tower crew.

Should the line fail completely before 11:30 p.m., we'll start repairs during the day on Wednesday.

Dish Network, DirecTV, and Comcast are all currently receiving our signal but it could fail completely at any time.

The KWQC signal to Mediacom in the Quad Cities is served via a fiber optic line and its customers should not be affected by this outage.

We hope to have the issue completely resolved by Thursday morning and we thank you for your understanding.
